Vielen Dank Hamburg!
One down, nine to go and if yesterday is anything to go by then I’m in for a great time on this tour. Two nights in Hamburg with my Dad were really good fun. The rock n’ roll hotel / bar we stayed at did what it said on the tin with earplugs on pillows instead of chocolates.
On the Radio!
After a session at Tide Radio (will let you know when you can listen to that!), we made our way to the venue. Small fan moment when Andre, the host of the radio show, informed me that Regina Spektor recorded a session in that same room a couple years ago… ooh! The lovely Paper Aroplanes will also be guests during their next Germany tour in May, so I felt in excellent company.
New places, same faces!
I have to tell you that I’m really touched. I had no idea what to expect from the show and I’m so happy that so many of you came out to see me play. Thank you to those of you who came to see me for the first time and special thanks to those of you who came again after seeing me at my previous Hamburg gig last year at the Hasenschaukel – so lovely to see you again! I’m sorry the venue was a tiny bit rowdy; hopefully we’ll have more of an intimate setting
