Berlin came and went, as it always does, too quickly. My gig at the Junction Bar on Monday evening was followed by two free days in my former home town, spent with those people I love the most and see too little of. The gig itself was a mad two-hour affair (where did the time go?) and for the first time, the audience was made up of unfamiliar as well as familiar faces. Thank you so much for coming and also for the flowers and the whacky Arnold biography (….thanks.) 🙂
It was very strange to drive to the gig and hear my song coming out of the car radio on a station I used to listen to growing up… This was the first time I ever actually heard a song of mine coming out of an actual radio as opposed to an Internet streaming service. I know that’s silly, but hey, I allowed myself to have a moment!
Berlin, ihr werdet immer mein liebstes Publikum sein – thank you for making the show fun and for ridding me of those terrible nerves before the show – you rock! Ich hoffe wir sehen uns dann alle im Mai zum Record Release gig wieder… details to follow, in Denglish, probably!
Ick drück dir!
Yes, das wäre sehr nice if you would do that und so. We miss you!
