What do you know, I’m back in Berlin! I hope this little post finds you well. I’m very pleased to announce that I’m taking part in the MMF‘s (music manager’s forum) event: “The New Artist Model”. Tomorrow we’re gathering at Google HQ for a day of panels, key notes and other sexy stuff. Spotify, Youtube, Pledge Music and the likes will all be present, so I’m looking forward to hearing what everyone has to say on the business of music and the future of.
I’m a speaker on the opening and closing panel together with Fran Healy (Travis), Tim Renner (Motor FM) and Brian Message (MMF / ATC Management). We’ll talk about artist successes and challenges in the digital world. Yes, this is actually happening. I know. Crazy stuff.
As part of Berlin Music Week, I’m also on the C3S panel on Thursday. We’ll learn more about the new, creative commons collection society (officially launching later this month at the Reeperbahn Festival) and talk about the future of collection societies and creative rights managements models.
So, lovely people, I hope you’re all well and I’ll let you know how it all goes tomorrow!
Take care,
Roxanne
