Yesterday was a very special and emotional day. My new album, You & Me, We Are The Same, is out now and it's been a long and difficult journey to finally get to this point.

Thank you for all your kindnesses, for buying the album (we actually made it to Nr. 35 in the iTunes alternative album charts yesterday!) and for all your wonderful comments.

'You & Me, We Are The Same' is an homage to my dad, Richard de Bastion, who was my musical mentor and best friend. Just after he died, my sister found this amazing photo - as it happens I took exactly the same press photo about forty years later (my sister actually took the one of me).

I hope you enjoy this body of work. It was made with a lot of love and with the brilliant production help of Bernard Butler.
I'm very proud of it and I can't wait for you all to hear it.
